PLAN FOR TRAIL RIDING AT HORSE COUNTRY! WE ADVISE ALL OF OUR GUESTS TO PREPARE FOR SOME FANTASTIC TRAIL RIDING AND THE DIVERSE TERRAIN YOU WILL FACE WHICH INCLUDES ROCKY AND HILLY TRAILS, WATER CROSSINGS, BRIDGE CROSSINGS AND CLAY SOIL BASE WHICH CAN GET SLICK WHEN WET.
WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND SHOES ON THE FRONTS, OR TO BRING A SPARE SET OF BOOTS FOR YOUR HORSES. BAREFOOT HORSES THAT ARE WELL CONDITIONED TO HARD GROUND AND ROCKY CONDITIONS SHOULD BE FINE, HOWEVER, BRINGING ALONG A SPARE SET OF BOOTS IS SOMETHING WE DO ADVISE TO ENSURE YOUR VISIT AND TRAIL RIDING IS A PLEASURABLE AND POSITIVE ONE.
THANK YOU! MANAGEMENT
Relax, Unwind, and Enjoy Nature!

At Horse Country Campground you can enjoy camping with your OWN horse and enjoy over 50 km’s of trails a 100 x 200 sand ring, obstacle course or take a break on the trails at voyageur bay and have a swim with your horse.
For Horse Owners, we offer equestrian campsites with both single (20×20 corrals) and double (20×30 corrals with two pens, or rent our extra large corral which is 30 x 60 and fits up to 4 horses and comes with a shelter. Our typical 50X50 campsite provides ample room for your truck, trailer, RV (make sure your battery rv is fully charged before you come – we’ve had a couple of visitors who have run out of battery whilst staying here because they didn’t fully charge before they came), camper or tent. We have pull through and oversized sites that are available upon request and we have a lot of additional parking space.
Our Trails and Horse Facilities: All campers get full, UNLIMITED access to our trail system of 50+km’s of trails, as well as, our obstacle course and warm up rings. We also provide wheelbarrows and manure facilities. Please make sure to pack your own manure fork.
All of our standard campsites come with:
Utilities: We have portable toilets at the campground and campers get full access to full bathrooms and shower facilities at the resort (walking distance from the campsites). We do not have electrical hookups, however; you may run a generator during generator hours. There is no dumping station on site, but we have a mobile pumping service (ask us for details) for trailer pumping on-demand and there is a FREE dumping service in nearby Renfrew (approx. 20-minute drive from the campground).
Portable Fencing: For customers traveling with their horses and bringing their own portable fencing, you will be discounted to the “regular campsite, without a corral / with water hook up” rate. You are, however, responsible for cleaning up all manure and other waste and garbage.
Resort Access: All of our campers enjoy full access to Canada’s #1 Outdoor Adventure Resort Wilderness Tours. Enjoy the beach, swimming pool, hot tub, restaurant and a full selection of whitewater rafting, kayaking and fishing packages and more… You will also have access to the resort for all kinds of resort fun!
