Advance reservations are always recommended, but not necessary. A minimum deposit of 50% upon booking is required; reservations will not be held without a deposit.

Campers are responsible for their guests. Visitors must leave by 10:00 p.m. unless registered as overnight guests. Sorry, no visitors are allowed to enter after 9:00 p.m. All visitors must be registered at the office, sign waivers and be issued a bracelet.
Payment Types Accepted
E-transfer, cash, traveler’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Paypal are welcome. Personal checks are accepted for deposits on advance reservations, but not accepted within 30 days of arrival.
You may select the site of your choice (upon availability) at time of reservation; if the site is available, we will reserve it for you. Otherwise, the “type of site” will be reserved as reservations are made on a back-to-back basis; extensions may require a change to another site. Management reserves the right to change site assignments at its discretion.
A 50% deposit must be made at the time of booking and the remainder must be paid in full 30 days before arriving. Deposits are refundable 31 days or more prior to the time of the trail ride reservation, less a $25.00 administrative fee.
Horse Country Campground standard policy of 30 days or less from booking, no refund will be issued. Packages are transferable (date and also to give to someone else). All reservations must be paid in full 30 days before date of arrival. Refunds on canceled reservations will be given when received 31 days or more in advance of scheduled arrival date, less a $25.00 administrative fee for each canceled reservation. All payments received on cancelled reservations are considered as a “credit” and are fully transferable to future dates or to a gift certificate.
Horse Country reserves the right to cancel or postpone any horseback rides as a result of weather making conditions unsafe for both horses and riders. This would include (but not limited to), thunder & lightening or major rain storms, extremely wet trail conditions, exceptional heat conditions/hot days. Should horseback rides need to be cancelled or postponed as a result of weather, customers are entitled to a full refund and/or transfer ability of their date/time to another date or gift certificate of equal value.
All corrals must be cleaned before check-out by campers or a $50 fee will be charged.
Trail Riding and Horse Rental Reservation Policies
A minimum 48 hour notice is required to book a guided trail ride. While we may accept on-site trail riding requests, we cannot guarantee availability of horses or guides without an advanced reservation.
Liability Release Forms
Horseback riding is a potential dangerous activity and horses are un-predictable. All customers participating in any of our horseback riding activity acknowledge and accept this risk by signing our Liability Release forms must be filled out before participating in the activity. All minors under age 18 must have the Liability Release Form completed by a parent or guardian.
Riders must arrive at least 15 minutes in advance of their scheduled trail ride time to complete liability release forms and be fitted for helmets and saddles.
Safety and Equipment
The single biggest priority for this program is safety for both horses and riders. Therefore the following are guiding principles of our program as it relates to safety.
Horse assignment: All horses are assigned by the trail guide (sorry, customers do NOT get to pick their horse).
Tack: customers have the choice of English or Western saddles.
We will be judging all customers interested in guided horseback riding via a rider assessment. We reserve the right to deny providing the service to anyone we feel is incapable or safely completing the activity.
We will provide all required tack and helmets. Helmets are MANDATORY and must be worn at all times during our guided horseback rides.
All riders renting horses must provide their own proper riding attire including footwear with a closed toe/heel, and full length jeans or pants, t-shirt or western shirt. NO flip flops, sandals or running shoes are permitted. NO shorts, bikini tops or swimming trunks are permitted. Customers arriving without the proper footwear and attire may be denied participation in the activity and NO Refund will be issued.
